Registration for ESL, GED, Carpentry, Cosmetology, and Plumbing Apprenticeship has been closed.
Registration for Automotive and Welding will be open until January 2, 2025.
ESL has reached it’s capacity.

 

The ESL program helps adults whose first language is not English to improve their English speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students will have opportunities to gain computer skills, work readiness skills, and prepare for career training or employment opportunities. Students may also choose to prepare for the US citizenship test. 

 

 

The HSE program provides adults who did not complete a formal high-school program the opportunity to obtain a High School Diploma issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Education. Students will participate in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science classes with our highly qualified teachers. Our job is to prepare our students to take the state assessment to earn their high school diploma. 

 

 

This program is an introduction to the automotive industry including automotive history, safety practices, shop equipment and tools, tune-ups, brakes, etc. 

 

 

Emphasis is placed on providing the student with familiarly with all aspects of building construction. Blueprint Reading, use of measuring tools, hand tools and power tools are stressed. Job entry-level skills are emphasized. 

 

Our comprehensive 1000-hour program completely prepares you for the NJ Board of Cosmetology and practical exams for your NJ Cosmetology certification. Lecture, demonstration, and hands-on application of skills/techniques make up this exciting and lucrative career-oriented program. 

 

Plumbing Apprenticeship* – WAITING LIST OPEN – FALL 2024 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AUGUST 1ST.

Our program offers an approved related instruction in Plumbing. The program consists of a minimum of 144 hours of classroom instruction per year. Our training program is approved by the Bureau of Veterans Training and has been recognized for its effectiveness in preparing qualified apprentices. Participants must be employed in the specific field of the trade and sponsored by their employer.

 

Our classes are conducted in laboratories outfitted with modern industrial welding equipment. We provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to work with modern industrial welding equipment. Blueprint reading is also integrated into the course to enable students to fabricate projects according to print specifications.

 

* Cost for Auto Repair, Carpentry and Welding is $250.00 in county and $350.00 Out-of-County per semester.

** Cost for Cosmetology License is $8,500.00 In-County and $9,500.00 Out-of County (Includes $500 supplies).

*** Cost of Plumbing Apprenticeship is $600 In-County and $700 out of county per semester.
